For this tutorial you
will need: Corel Paint Shop Pro (or Jasc previous versions) Filters and materials needed Virtual Photographer, available free here http://www.optikvervelabs.com/default.asp Supplies in zip file here http://www.ellies-treasures.com/files/tuts/water-psp-material.zip The material has been prepared so that you can open it with different versions of the program. | 1. Put teom005.jgd in your PSP gradient folder Open a new canvas 640X480 |
| 2. Fill with the gradient from the supplies folder, teom005, settings as shown: 45-0-linear ![]() ![]() |
3. Filter>Texture>Texturizer>Canvas with these settings: 65-4-top![]() |
| 4. Copy and paste into the canvas the three images of the children (not the girl holding the seashell) which have each been reduced to 90%. Each one goes in a new layer To paste Control-L.. Distribute as shown. ![]() |
5. Copy and paste in new layer the image of the snails. Drop shadow: black, 2/2/70/10.![]() It should look like this now: ![]() |
| 6. Right click in layer palette and merge visible. Duplicate the layer. Make sure you are in the top layer, Go to Filter>OptikVerve>Virtual Photographer: Blue Tone and Softest Light as shown ![]() In the layer palette, reduce opacity of this layer to 46% ![]() Right click in layer palette and merge visible layers Duplicate layer |
7. Activate the bottom layer>Adjust>Blur>Gaussian Blur: 20%![]() |
| 8. Effects>Texture Effects>Blinds-settings as shown 3-80-color c0c0c0, horizontal checked, light from left/top checked ![]() Repeat but this time without selecting Horizontal |
9. Activate the top layer>Resize to 80%![]() |
| 10. Selections>Select all - Selections>Float - Selections>Modify>Select selection borders>settings as shown- Outside, Anti-alias checked, border width 2. Fill border with white. ![]() |
| 11. With Paint Brush tool, size 1, Square, white, fix the corners of the frame where you see grey. Zoom if needed. Before ![]() After ![]() |
| 12. Select everything. Float. Drop Shadow: black, 2/2/70/2. Apply again but v and h are now -2. Deselect. See next step to see how it should look. |
| 13. Open and copy the image "Sound of the Sea" (child with snail). Paste into the canvas as a new layer. Move into place as shown. ![]() |
| 14. Open and copy "silvernleader" (metallic adornment). Paste into canvas as new layer. Resize to 90%; Free rotation 15 degrees left. ![]() Drop Shadow:2-2-70-10 as in step 5. Move to correct location (see next step for screenshot) |
| 15. Open and copy "tarjeta". Paste into canvas as new layer. Apply drop shadow as in step 19. Place in correct location. Merge all (flatten) It should look like this now ![]() |
16. Image>Add borders, symmetrical: 1 pix, black then 2 pix white, then 1 pix black.![]() |
