Dec 4, 2008
I have 2 more December
desktop calendars done, for a total of 3. I also have a few new
desktop wallpaper done and uploaded. I'll try and get to the blinkie
calendars as soon as possible. And I still have stationery to finish
getting ready and uploaded. I'll keep you informed.
Dec 3, 2008
I have one
desktop calendar ready, but my back is starting to hurt again. I'll
try and get another one or two done later today or tomorrow. I wanted to
at least get one to you!
Nov 30, 2008
I'm so sorry but, due to some intense
back pain (in my right shoulder blade) when I'm at the computer the last
few days, my December calendars will be a few days late. I'll get them
finished as soon as possible. I tried taking yesterday off to heal it,
and it felt better last night, but as soon as I got at the computer this
morning, it came right back. I do have the components for them done,
just a matter of assembling them. I also have some very nice Winter and
Christmas stats and desktop wallpaper to assemble and get up online.
Give me a few days ok? Thanks so much for your patience. I'll let you
know when they are done and uploaded.
November 11, 2008
I swear I'm losing my mind. I thought I'd put up the three
stationeries to match the desktop wallpaper I made a week or two ago.
NOT! Jeez, I need a kick in the butt. Anyway, they are up now, Autumn's
Blessings, Homespun Harvest and Guardian of Prayers, all in Incredimail,
Outlook Express and Eml format.

November 1, 2008
I've just uploaded the
blinkie calendars for November. I'll try and get at least one scrap
calendar done but not promising anything as I hate to break promises and
I tend to break that one. LOL I've got shopping to do then I'll try and
get to that new stationery to match the wallpaper I uploaded yesterday.
Have a great day!
October 31, 2008
I've just uploaded 5 new
desktop calendars for November and 4 new
desktop wallpaper for you. I will make the matching stationery
tomorrow. I also have some tutorial news, Sandra of
Le Jardin de Tutos just
translated one of my tutorials into French
here, my Golden Straw Frame. It's also been previously translated
into
German. Thanks ladies!
October 17, 2008-update 3
I've just finished the 4 matching Halloween and Autumn stationery
for the paper I finished earlier. As usual, they are in Incredimail,
Outlook Express and Eml formats. You can find the new stationery
here.
Now my back is killing me from sitting here since 6 this morning, so I
am off to watch some TV and read! Have a great night!
October 17, 2008-update 2
I've just put up 4 more desktop wallpaper, 3 Halloween and 1
Autumn one. Check them out
here. I'm working on the matching stationery right now. If you
notice, on the Practical Magic wallpaper, which is the one I made today,
I've got a new size, 1680X1050, which fits the newer large wide monitors
just right. My monitor is a widescreen 22" and that's the resolution I
use for it. I'll make this size for all of the wallpaper I make from now
on, as well as the normal size of 1280X1024 and the smaller wide size of
800X600, which are the two sizes I've been making up to now.
October 17, 2008
I have 4 new desktop wallpaper up, the ones to match the 4
tutorials listed in yesterday's post. Click
here for the new wallpaper. Now on to my next project. I have soooo
many new stats and wallpaper to get ready for you, tags all made, just
waiting for the assembly line! LOL
Oct 16, 2008
I've got 4 translations done for you, that's right, a whopping 4
of them! LOL
2 of Duchessa's
beautiful blends and 2 of
Futura's cute animated tags.
I finished them for the most part during the summer while on my trip and
then just didn't have the energy to get them online, but feeling guilty
here, so thought I'd get them done! Stationery to match is also done and
online, wallpaper coming next.
Click this link for
New
Stationery
Here are some small examples of the tutorials and the links. As you can
see, they're all animated but you can do them either way. I did!
Gold (Duchessa)

Love Blend (Duchessa)

And I'll Love You Always (Futura)

Don't Stop The Music (Futura)

Sept 30, 2008
Did you think I'd disappeared? LOL I have October Blinkie, Scrap
and Desktop calendars up. Go to the calendar index page
here.
I hope to make one more scrap and one more simpler Desktop by tomorrow.
I'll try and get the November ones done earlier in the month so the
pressure isn't so bad at the end of the month for me to get them done.
Go check them out, I hope you like them. I know many of you have written
and were missing the blinkie calendars. I have a few stationery and
wallpaper to finish getting ready and hope to have them up shortly.
For those that wrote and enquired about my health, I can eat a bit more
than I could before so that's a good thing! I'm still having trouble
with lots of meats, so I'm careful there, but can eat a lot more stuff
than before, very slowly and carefully. LOL
I was having trouble with the medication for my fibromyalgia and was in
a deep depression due to the meds for months, and finally realized what
it was. I stopped the medication a couple of weeks ago and suddenly feel
like my old sunny self again. I am just not a depressed kind of person
and that was simple awful! I hope to never go through that again. I'd
rather live with the pain.
Thanks to so many caring people that wrote and asked if I was ok. I am
now and you are all appreciated for caring!
On a brighter note, my youngest daughter had her second child, a little
girl called Keira Mikaela, Sept 5th, on our anniversary! What a
beautiful anniversary gift! I'll share a picture of her later. Have a
wonderful day everyone!
July 20, 2008 - 2nd update
OK, I felt so guilty leaving you without desktop calendars for 2
months (and more counting the months I've missed) that I went and made 2
desktop calendars for August and 2 for September. There's new desktop
wallpaper and stationery as well. Now I can go on my trip with a clear
conscience. LOL Have a great day!

July 20, 2008
I apologize for not having calendars done every month. I seem to have lost
my creative spark and the summer has been so busy.
I was so long recovering from my surgery and then it was summertime!
I am leaving on a long trip soon, going camping to Northern Ontario and then
west,
not sure how far, so I won't have any new calendars for you till the
September ones.
I will have my laptop with me so will work on them and hopefully have a few
to choose from for September.
You won't be getting any updates from me while I'm gone, but hopefully
I'll get tons of stuff done during my trip. I have translations to
finish, lots of stationery and wallpaper to finish, those calendars to
do, and lots of new things buzzing in my brain. Let's just hope the
buzzing gets to my fingers! LOL And I'm not talking about the buzzing of
all the bugs I'll run into on the trip. Worst thing about camping, in my
opinion, is the bugs. BZZZZZZZZZZZ BZZZZZZZZZZZ BZZZZZZZZZZZ
July 13, 2008
I've just added a new translation from
Steffi's Tutorials,
called
Greetings, a scrap tag.
Here's a small example.

I hope you like it!
I've also agreed to translate for
Grafica di
Duchessa, an Italian site, so look for those as soon as I get one
done. If you go to her site, don't worry about the little popup window.
It's only to ask you to vote, so just either say ok to vote or cancel to
close the window. Nothing will happen.
We'll be gone camping for 5 weeks, from the end of July to the end of
August, so you won't see any updates from me during that time, but I'll
be doing translations on my laptop while I'm gone so I hope to have
quite a bit to share with you when I get home again. Have a great week!
June 29, 2008
Hi everyone. I've just added two new translations for PSP.
One is a scrap tag called
Romantic Scrap by Jet of PSP
Tutorials by Jet,
here is a small example:

The other is a scrap tag as well, called
Grungy Elegance by Lien of
X-Clusive Designz.
Here is a small example:

Lien has also changed her site address for those that lost track of
where it went, and also Marynez of
PSPIArtes has just changed her site address. Click on the links in
their site names here to get to their new sites. The addresses have been
fixed in their index pages on my site as well as each translated
tutorial.
I still have a few more translations that are nearly done to work on. We
are going to visit family later this week for a couple of days, but I'll
get them done as soon as possible.
I've also found out from some site visitors that FontLoader, mentioned
in my
Managing Fonts tutorial, is no longer at the link I provided. I went
and checked and it is there, but it's incorporated into another freeware
program there called ShellTools. I've corrected the link to download
that program. It's a fantastic program and I use it daily.
I want to take this opportunity to thank those who so generously have
donated to my site over the past couple of years. I have bought a
membership for a tutorial site I love, called
Carolaine and Sensibility, which
I mentioned before, and just recently bought a number of tubes so I can
freely use them without worrying that I'll have to remove the tutorials
or stationery and wallpaper later. And I'm saving enough of it to help
pay for my website renewal and domain name renewal when they come due. I
really appreciate those of you who have helped me out with this. Thanks
from the bottom of my heart. Even those that can donate just a dollar,
it all helps me tremendously. I'm retired on a disability so I have no
other income of my own coming in, so you can understand how much this
helps.
Till next time, keep smiling! Makes people wonder what you've been up
to.
June 28, 2008
I just changed the website address of where you can get the
newest version of FontRenamer (v2.16) on my
Managing Fonts page.
I've recently come back from camping and have a few new tutorials
translated. They now need to be assembled onto their web pages and
uploaded and I hope to have that done soon. Some needed final animation
steps added as I found out, to my surprise, that my laptop did not have
Animation Shop installed. That is now remedied for my next camping trip.
LOL Since I don't do a lot of animations, I never noticed before, but
Futura's tutorials often have animation in them.
I also have a few calendars to make so best get my rear in gear!
My friend Sonel just changed her website address and I have a number of
pages to change that on, as she often does my tuts and sends them to me
and I then add them to my tut pages with a link to her. In the meantime,
check out her new site. She translates Snakelady's tutorials as well and
does a wonderful job. If she hadn't snagged Snakelady, I had been
thinking of it, but she got to her first. Wonderful tuts! Sonel's site
is here:
http://members.lycos.co.uk/sonelscorner/
Have a great day!
May 30, 2008
I've just finished creating and uploading 4 new
desktop calendars for June. I've also uploaded 10 new
desktop wallpaper in regular and wide-screen sizes and 8 new
stationery in Incredimail, Outlook Express and eml formats. In both
the wallpaper and the stationery, 2 are summer ones and 1 is a Father's
Day one. I hope you find something you like! I may make a scrap and
blinkie calendars tomorrow if I find the time, but no promises. I really
would like to get back to it though, so keep your fingers crossed. I'll
announce it here if I do make them. Have a great weekend!
May 24, 2008
An Italian tutorial writer,
Futura, asked me to
translate her tutorials into English and they are beautiful! I've just
done my first one for her, a Father's Day one called
Festa del Papà.
Here's a small example:

I've included extra words with the tutorial so you can make it without a
date on it, to use in other years. I've also included the font I used in
case you want to make your own words for it.
If you head to her site to see her tutorials, they are password
protected, so you'll have to write her for the password. Or you can wait
and see them here. LOL
I have a few stationery and wallpaper to make, I've done the headers,
just have to get around to making the rest of the parts, such as
backgrounds, etc. and get them assembled and uploaded. I hope to have
that done soon. Hubby wanted to go camping this weekend, sprung it on me
as a surprise, and I was glad he changed his mind as it's still a bit
chilly and we aren't really prepared yet. We are heading to the Toronto
Zoo tomorrow, my health has improved enough with all of the weight loss
(68 pounds so far) that I can do all the walking (it's huge)! Woohoo!!
I still can't eat many solid foods and I see another surgeon on June 5th
to see what the problem is, as my original surgeon was extremely rude
and unpleasant about helping me out. Apparently, the only thing he wants
to hear from me is that I'm fine. Anything else is either ignored or
criticized (after 6 months of no solid foods, apparently I'm being "too
impatient", even though I was supposed to be able to eat solids after
one month. Does that make sense? No, not to me either LOL). Enough about
me, at least I'm a lot healthier and continuing to improve in health all
the time. Thanks to Atkins Protein shakes and bars (a little plug for my
favorites). Have a great weekend everyone!
May 10, 2008
I have 3 new Mother's Day stationeries and 1 new Father's Day
stationery, in all formats (imf, exe and eml) with matching wallpaper
for all. I also have 3 new simple background wallpapers and 2 new
wallpapers with "My Desktop" on them. I hope you like them!
Find them here:

Have a super weekend!
May 8, 2008
I've got a new translation up, one of
Marian's scrap
tag tutorials, called
With Love and it's for PSP.
Here's a small example:

I have some new stationery and wallpaper to upload today and I'm working
on adding a new Mother's Day-Father's Day section to both the stationery
and desktop wallpaper sections. I'm hoping to have it done later today.
So hopefully, this won't be the last of me you see today! LOL Have a
great one!
Second update today: I added 16 new links to English PSP Tutorial
section on my
Great
Beginnings page, corrected link to Hood's Tutorials and deleted a
few dead links in the same section.
Third update today: I just created and uploaded two new sections,
Mother's Day-Father's Day Wallpaper and
Mother's Day-Father's Day stationery. I also added a few more
New
Stationery and
New Wallpaper. I would like to make a couple more Mother's
Days stationery and wallpaper in the next day or two, but don't hold me
to it! LOL I'll try.
April 30, 2008
Hi everyone. I have three different desktop calendars ready for
May on the
Desktop Calendar page.
I also have 2 new stationery in Incredimail, Outlook Express and eml
format, with matching desktop wallpaper in regular and wide-screen
formats. I hope you like them!

April 7, 2008
Believe it or not, I have calendars. So far I have one
Desktop Calendar up, in both regular and wide screen and I have one
Scrap Calendar up. I hope you like them! I hope to do a couple more,
time permitting. Not today though. Maybe tomorrow, but I do have a
Dentist appointment. Have a great night!
April 4, 2008 - Update 2
I've just finished uploading the stationery (Incredimail, Outlook
Express and Eml formats) and desktop wallpaper to match the tutorial
"Red" that I announced earlier today. All of my
New
Stationery and New Wallpaper
can always be found on these linked New Stationery and New Wallpaper
pages. And I wanted to mention that I hope to work on a scrap calendar
tomorrow as well as some desktop calendars. I know I haven't been good
about that but I hope to get into some kind of routine where they are
done regularly again. Maybe even a Blinkie Calendar or two! Keep your
fingers crossed. LOL
I am not completely recovered from my surgery last November, I believe I
have some internal scar tissue causing me problems, I haven't eaten
solid foods in nearly 5 months, and my surgeon will not lift a finger to
help, so I am in the process of trying to get into another surgeon right
now for a second opinion. Wish me luck. Have a great night.
April 4, 2008
I've just finished a new translation,
Rood (Red) by Jetje's PSP
Creaties. I hope you like it! I can see lots of possibilities for
it, give it a try and see what you come up with!
Here's a small example:

Have a great night.
March 31, 2008
I've added 86 new links to the English PSP tutorials on my
Great
Beginnings page. I've also cleaned up the section by fixing bad
links and deleting dead ones. I have so much more work to do on that
page. You may notice that there are lots of new categories there but no
links, empty sections. Those are the sections I'll be working on next.
I am also assembling a page called Tube Resources where I am recording
all identifiers on a tube, such as initials in the file name and overlay
layers, and identifying who these tubes were made by and their site or
group name and address if I have it. If you are a tuber, please click
the email button at the bottom of the page or at the left side and
contact me, let me know your tube identifiers, your real name or the
name you're commonly known by (first name only if you like) and your
group or site name and address, or if you have none, your email
address if you like people to contact you regarding your tubes.
March 27, 2008
I've just updated my tutorial Installing and Using Stationery to
include tips and tricks for using OE stats in Windows Mail. You can find
it here:
http://www.ellies-treasures.com/statuse/statuse.html
Also, I've started formatting my newer stationery into eml files as well
as the Incredimail imf files and the Outlook Express self-extracting exe
file. The eml files can be used in Outlook Express and Windows Mail,
possibly some other email programs but I can't guarantee that. I hope
you find the tutorial and the new format useful!
March 27, 2008
I've just uploaded 4 new desktop wallpaper and 6 new stationery,
all American Idol. I've created a new section in both the wallpaper and
stationery directories, TV-Movies. The new wallpaper and stationery can
be found on that page as well as in
New
Stationery &
New Wallpaper. Have a beautiful day! I'm enjoying the sunshine at
the moment but calling for more snow tonight. Will it ever end????? LOL
March 15, 2008 - second update
I just uploaded 2 new desktop wallpaper, a St Pat's one and a
Fairies one. I also uploaded 3 new stationery, a St Pat's one called
Little Miss Shamrock, and two fairy ones, one of them matches the
Fantasy Parrot tutorial I uploaded earlier.
New
Stationery
New Wallpaper
Tomorrow I will make the Fantasy Parrot desktop wallpaper and maybe some
Desktop Calendars if I get some time. A little late but better late than
never! LOL Have a great evening.
March 15, 2008
I have just finished and uploaded a beautiful new translation
called
Fantasy Parrot, originally written by Paola of
Grafica Paola in Italian.
Here's a small example:

It's very easy. I hope you like it! Have a fantastic day!
Feb 26, 2008
I got a start on separating out holiday categories for my own
tuts and translated tuts. You can see the new holiday index here:
http://www.ellies-treasures.com/holiday-tuts/holiday-tuts.html. So
far I only have the Easter and Valentine tuts separated out. There are
categories I don't have any for yet at all. Once I complete that, I'll
put together a seasonal index as well. Lots of work! Have a great day!
Feb 25, 2008
I've re-uploaded the translation
Faith Scrap Tag, from
Marian's PSP-Lessen, that was removed a few months ago while Marian
had some copyright issues. I was able to put it back up with the only
change being that a small frame that was used is removed from the
supplies, so you'll have to choose your own frame to use. The rest is
the same.
Here's a small example:

I've also translated a beautiful and sweet Easter tutorial from Jet, of
Jetje's PSP Creaties,
called
Celebrate Easter.
Here's a small example:

Isn't it just gorgeous! I haven't done the stationery and wallpaper to
match this one yet.
What I'm going to try and get done today is separate the holiday and
seasonal tutorials out into separate index pages, so you can find all of
the Easter tuts together, Valentine, Winter, Autumn, etc.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
Feb 24, 2008
I've redone the scrap tag tutorial,
Past, from
Marian's PSP-Lessen, that was removed a few months ago while Marian
rewrote it. Take a look, it's lovely.
Here's a small example:

Feb 23, 2008
I've got 2 new translations done from Violette at
Violettegraphics. A beautiful frame tut called
Cadre Valentin and a gorgeous blend tag called
Amour Toujours.
Here are small examples:

I hope you like them! I haven't done the matching stationery and
wallpaper yet, I hope to get that done in the next day or two. Hubby's
home on vacation next week so I'm not sure how much I'll get done.
I've been having major computer problems. I started smelling really
strong burning plastic a few days ago so frantically started burning
things off on DVD's, like my website. Then it started shutting itself
down, with no word of warning. John got it going again and I would back
up more stuff and it would shut down again. Finally I convinced him that
yes, you can fix the power supply yourself. So he did! He said the only
thing he's never fixed on a computer yet is the motherboard, and I told
him he may find out this week how to do that too, depending on if any
damage was done to the motherboard during this little adventure. So wish
me luck! It's been a rough winter trying to get things done for my site,
between my surgery, lack of energy and now computer problems. Thank
goodness I lost no data though. Yet.
I'd been procrastinating about setting up a backup program, but there's
nothing like the feeling of OMG, I'm going to lose everything to kick
you in the bum about getting that done. I bought a 500 gig external hard
drive (at half price!) and started backing up everything. I actually
found out I didn't need a backup program as much as I needed a synching
program. So I found
AllSync and I love it. After the first batch of backing up the
original folders, it now backs up 270 gigs of my data every night in 20
minutes! All it does is look for changed, deleted or added folders and
files and it mirrors the original folder exactly, leaving the unchanged
files alone. What a great program. Have a great night everyone!
Feb 11, 2008
I forgot to mention, about the tutorial I announced earlier
today, this tutorial can be done in any graphics program, including PSP,
PhotoImpact, Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, any version.
Feb 11, 2008
I have a new tag tutorial, a scrap tag called
To Love . . .
Here's a small example

I didn't make the matching stationery or wallpaper yet as I
wanted to get the tutorial uploaded for Valentine Day, it's this Friday
already! I'll be working on the stationery and wallpaper and get it up
soon. I'll announce it here when I have it ready. I also put one more
desktop calendar up. I'm still working on my Valentine and Love &
Romance stationery and wallpaper pages and I'm adding what I've done as
I go along. I've written two more tutorials, one for Fiesta Strip
stationery and one for Stacked Border stationery, but don't have them
ready to upload yet. Soon, I promise!
Feb 3, 2008
Hi everyone. I'm having a little bit of problems in my recovery
from surgery but I'm back in gear and hopefully can start bringing you
new stuff regularly again. And I have new stuff for you today! Desktop
calendars, a new translated tutorial, stationery and wallpaper! I have 2
desktop calendars ready for you for February. The previews can be
used as mini calendars as well. Hopefully I'll have some blinkie
calendars and scrap calendars for March when the time comes, I'm getting
into the swing of things slowly.
For the tutorial translation, I translated
Scrap Valentina created by
Violettegraphic. I also created matching stationery and desktop
wallpaper, both with a Valentine theme and without so you can use it all
month if you like.
Example of the new tutorial:

New
Stationery
New Wallpaper
I'm revamping my Love & Romance stationery page as the page itself is
old and the stationery on it is old, and they're not converted to OE
yet, so I'm refreshing the look of the stationery and page as well. I'm
working on that right now and hope to have it done today or tomorrow.
I hope to be back within a few days with more stuff! Have a great week.
Jan 20, 2008
Surprise everyone! Did you think I got lost? I was just about
done recovering from surgery when I came down with a nasty head and
chest cold. I still have it but getting better. I want to thank everyone
for the hundreds of emails enquiring about my health. It's so nice to
know that you guys missed me and worried about me.
I thought I'd get my
feet wet by doing someone else's tutorial. I love
Carolaine and Sensibility
tutorials so I did one of theirs. New stationery, Always be my
Valentine, and 3 new wallpaper to match.
Here are some small examples, first one is the stationery, next two are
the wallpaper, there's also one more wallpaper with "My Desktop" in gold
script on it.

New

New Wallpaper
I hope to do a translation this week. Hopefully I'll continue to recover
and can keep updating my site. Sorry for the long absence. I did get a
lot of reading done! LOL I hope you're having a great weekend!
