For this tutorial you will need: ULead PhotoImpact - available for purchase here no additional filters are needed I am assuming you know the basics of PhotoImpact and where the tools can be located. |

1. Open chosen tube,
object or transparent gif (a wide tube usually work best),
duplicate, close original, resize if too large (go to
Format>Image Size, make sure selected object and keep aspect
ratio is checked); right click and copy. Open canvas, black, width of tube + 50 and twice as high + 40 pixels. Paste as object onto black canvas. Position at top, just to the left of center. |

2. Right
Click>Duplicate, go to transform tool
 ,

3. Go to layer
manager, make sure you are in the duplicated layer and change
transparency to 80 |
|
|
4. Using transform
tool
set to slant, shift bottom of duplicated layer slightly to the
right, go by your own judgment as to what looks good. Make sure
the picture doesn't come off the edge of the canvas. |

5. When happy, merge
all and crop excess canvas if needed, using the selection tool
set to rectangle and clicking on the crop tool
after selection. Add words if you choose to, eg Happy Easter,
etc.Save as jpg for assembly into stationery program. In your stat program, just place the graphic at top center, and use the eyedropper in the body color to exactly match the black. |
