The hollyhocks are in two layers, delete the layer with my name on
it.
My plugin windows may look different from yours as I use Filters
Unlimited to manage my plugins. You can purchase it
here.
I am assuming you know the basics of PhotoImpact and where
the tools can be located. |
1.
Open a new canvas, 200X200. Open the graphic you will be
making the background for or you can use a psd
graphic, tube, gif, jpg, object, stamp.
If you would like to use the same graphic I did, download the
psd file
from the link above. |
2. Using eyedropper,
choose a pale to medium color from your graphic.
I used #DBA9B5. Go to edit, fill, and fill the tile with your color. This is
just in case you miss a spot in the pasting. |
3. Copy your chosen
graphic or copy a portion of it with the colors you want. Fill your
tile with
the graphic, re-pasting a number of times until the tile's
colors are to your satisfaction. Alternately, you can go to
selection, all and then paste the graphic into the
selection. This may stretch out the graphic but it doesn't
matter here. Each way will give a different effect as will the
choice of graphic used. This is what mine looked like after I
pasted into selection. Merge all. |
4. Go to Effects,
Funhouse, Xaggerate, both lines set at 255. Apply. |
It should look
similar to this. |
5. Go to Effects,
Visual Manipulation, Toolbox, Zoom Blur, Amount set at 39,
Adjust set at 60. Apply. |
It should now look
similar to this. |
6. Go to Effects,
Simple, Offset by 3. Apply. |
It should now look
similar to this. |
7. Go to Edit, Fill
and fill with the same color you used in step 2, transparency
set at 50. |
It should now look
similar to this. Merge all and save as a jpg. |
8. Open 20-20, open
your saved jpg in the program, click on image tab, click muted
background, make sure seamless tile is checked, and apply. |
It should now look
like this. It will be seamless. Save and you're done. |
