For this tutorial you will
need: Corel or Jasc PSP. I've done this tutorial in PSP 9 and PSP XI. I believe it can be done in most versions. You may have to look around for the commands but it's likely they are there. Filters and materials needed Oliver's Filters and 1 tube of your choice ************* Credits Tube I used in this tutorial was tubed by Angelic Designz |
| Preparation Open your tube, duplicate (Shift-D) and close original. |
| 1. Open a new transparent canvas 300X300. |
| 2. Activate your tube, copy (control-C) and paste as new layer (control-L) and, using your raster deform tool, pull on the bounding boxes to stretch till it fills the screen Merge All |
| 3. Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur: Radius = 20 |
| 4. Oliver's Filters/Toile D'Araignée: Intensity: 43 |
| 5. Effects/Reflection Effects/Kaleidoscope: Horizontal offset = 7 Vertical offset = 17 Rotation angle = 0 Scale Factor = -36 Number of petals = 4 Number of orbits = 0 Radial Suction = 0 Edge Mode = Reflect |
| 6. Effects/Image Effects/Seamless Tiling: Default with transition in 100 Pattern is ready. |
| 7. Open new canvas of 1024x300. (I usually make mine 1280 wide). Fill with your pattern (In your color palette, pick pattern, click on the color window and in the next window, right at the top, you'll see your pattern) |
| 8. Back to your tube. Copy and paste your tube as new layer, move to the left. I found at this point, since I had done this on my laptop and the color isn't that great on it, once I brought it to my PC I thought the color was too dull, so I picked a nice light color from my tube and added a new layer with this color and reduced the opacity to 50. Make sure this layer is under your tube layer. Merge All |
| 9. New raster layer to place watermark. |
|
10. Your stationery strip is ready!! Watermark and save File>Export>Jpeg optimizer - compression of 20. |
