Supplies needed
:
PSP
: done in PSP 9
Tube
: FTU ©Ana Rasha (included in supplies)
Scrapkits
: Goodbye Summer Collab by Friends of Rosegarden
**note re kit: This kit is downloaded from Rapidshare. I know some people have trouble getting kits from Rapidshare.
This is only in IE and IE based browsers, I promise you if you use another browser like Firefox or Google Chrome, you will get the kit
without a problem. Everyone that has tried these browsers eventually get the kit. I have no trouble at all downloading from Rapidshare.
I can't share the kit with you so there's no point in asking me, but please, just try one of these other browsers.

I am assuming you know the basics of Paint Shop Pro and where the tools can be located.
This is an extremely easy tutorial and can be done by beginners.

Here are some arrows and bars you can drag and drop where you need to mark or underline where you are. .
Just left click and drag to where you want it then let go.
They will stay where you put them until you close your browser.

You can also drag this example with you
I would suggest saving the tag at the top of my tut and keeping it open while you work to refer to for placement or drag the one above.
Open your tubes, duplicate (Shift-D), and close the originals. Open your masks in PSP. Open the font if you don't want to install it.

Let’s Start

New canvas 650X650. Fill background layer with white
I usually paste my tube now so I can match the colors better, you can do it now or later.
I colored my layers to match my tube, if you don’t use the same tube you’ll need to adjust

Masked layer: From Siri’s kit, open paper 4. Paste as new layer above background layer.
Adjust>Color Balance>manual color correction: source #b58731, preset target colors>Pure Colors>Orange,
preserve lightness checked, preserve saturation not checked

Apply mask, merge group. Resize 115%.

Feather tube: On tube layer, with rectangle selection tool, set feather to 60 and select around tube as shown (picture 1 below),
selections>invert (it will look like picture 2 below), hit delete once or twice to feather the tube’s hard edges, mirror tube

 Add elements:

Gerda’s kit
Uhr (clock), resize 50% then 75%, pull below mask layer, position just behind skirt
Deko-04, resized 75%, mirror, place, manual color correction source color #d1c150, preset target color>Pure colors>Orange,
preserve lightness and preserve saturation both checked

Duplicate this layer, flip, reduce opacity of both to 72%
Dahlie 1, resize 50% then 80%, duplicate, resize original another 90%, resize duplicate another 80%, position both
Dahlie 2, resize 50% then 80%, copy paste, duplicate, resize duplicate 80% and place
Dahlie 03, resize 40%, place

 Knirsche’s kit
Element 12 (word art), copy-paste, resize 90%, position

 Itha’s kit
Element 2 (butterfly) resize 50% 2X then 80% once, manual color correction, same settings as Deko-04 tube from Gerda,
duplicate, resize 85%, mirror, manual color correction again, but this time source color is #fff370 and uncheck preserve lightness

 Stacholine’s kit
Element 4a (bow), resize 50% then 90%, manual color correction as before but source color is #f2c844,
preserve lightness is checked but preserve saturation is not checked

Shadows
Tube: 3/3/50/7/black
Bow, clock, flowers, butterflies: 2/2/50/5/black

Unsharp mask
all that need sharpening: 2/40/4

Name: BrockScript, size 100, stroke 2, background color burgundy #822506, foreground color golden yellow #f9ca01,
rotate left 20°, unsharp mask 2/40/4, drop shadow 2/2/50/2/black

Resize: If you want to resize, do so before adding credits and watermarks.

Add your credits and watermark. Save as jpg or delete white background and save as transparent png.

Save as jpg or delete white background layer and save as transparent png.

Webpage Design Information
The lacy webpage background was made in PhotoImpact with a tutorial by Deb DeHaven
Sadly, she passed away and her site is gone.
The font I used for all of the text on the buttons is BrockScript
The font I used for the "Goodbye Summer" tutorial header is
Chase Callas Sh.
Click on the font names to download the fonts.
I use PhotoImpact to make all of my headers due to the amazing
3D text it has and the wonderful presets available free online
Most of the presets I use are either the ones that come with PhotoImpact, usually the Gel ones,
or from Deb's PI Tutorials and More (see below) or
Carol Oyl's site

This is the address to Deb's old pages
http://www.fortunecity.com/skyscraper/millenit/1716/pitutorials/objects/presets/presets1.html
I can't find any links to her new pages but the presets are still on this page for download.
For more sites to find PI Presets, take a look at my Great Beginnings page.
