Mohair Tile



 

For this tutorial you will need:
ULead PhotoImpact - available for purchase here
or  Adobe Photoshop - available for purchase here
or Jasc Paint Shop Pro - available for purchase here

Filters Needed
Filters Unlimited 2, available for purchase here
Simple tiles, available free here
Graphics Plus, available free here (Optional)

My plugin windows may look different from yours as I use Filters Unlimited to manage my plugins. You can purchase it here.
I am assuming you know the basics of PhotoImpact and where the tools can be located.

1. Open new canvas 200 X 200. Fill with color of your choice.

 

 

 

 

2. Go to Effects (Filters)>Filters Unlimited 2>Paper Texture>ICNET- filters>Fibrous Paper-Coarse, settings 88-128 as shown.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It should look like this now.

 

 

 



3. Go to Effects (Filters)>Simple>Quick Tile. It should look like this now. The effect is subtle and you may not see a big difference but without it, the tile is not perfectly seamless. You can finish here and save as a jpg or go on to the next step.

 

 

 

4. Optional - to emboss for more detail, go to Effects (Filters)>Graphics Plus>Emboss at default setting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It will look like this now. Save as a jpg.
