For this tutorial you
will need: Graphics Program: Any graphics program that allows 3rd party filters, such as the ones used here. You can even do it in free programs that use filters, such as IrfanView. There are instructions on their home site about adding filters to the program. Filters: Fantastic Machines Paint Engine Mock's Filters>Mosaic (Optional) FM Tile Tools>Blend Emboss (Blend-Emboss is one of the settings that continues to work when the trial is done) ***************** My plugin windows may look different from yours as I use Filters Unlimited 2 to manage my plugins. Some shortcuts I use are: PSP-Paint Shop Pro; PS-Photoshop; PSE-Photoshop Elements; PI-PhotoImpact |

1. Open canvas 300 X
300, pick a color from your graphic or of your own choosing, fill
canvas with the color. 2. Go to Effects or Filter>Fantastic Machines>Paint Engine>Bloom Preset. Settings: Left Column: 1.03/.4/.00/.15/.8/.00/wrap edges checked Right column: Uphill+Intensity1/input and line not checked/36/1.00/-82°/-2°/-172°/-2°/R checked Make sure wrap edges is checked If you don't see much going on, play with the R, G and B until you see a light pattern on the preview. 3. Go to Effects>Mock>Mosaic and slide the setting to somewhere between 15-20 till you like what you see. You can stop here and save, or you can go on to the next step. 4. Go to Effects>FM Tile Tools>Blend Emboss at default settings |

Don't forget to optimize PSP: (File>Export>Jpeg Optimizer). I usually optimize at about 10. PI: I usually optimize at about 90 PS and PSE: I usually save at about 8. |
