For this tutorial you will need:
Jasc or Corel Paint Shop Pro.
I've done this tutorial in PSP 9 and PSP XI.
I believe it can be done in most versions. You may have to look around for the commands but it's likely they are there.


Filters and materials needed
VM Distortion>Radial Pox; Xero>Porcelain (it's in set 1);

My plugin windows may look different than yours as I use Filters Unlimited 2 to manage my plugins
1 - Open your tubes, duplicate them (shift-D) and close the originals. Put the gold-ca.jpg in your patterns folder.
2 - Choose a dark color #7384ae (cornflower blue) for the foreground and #e9f2ff (very pale blue) for the background
3 - Change foreground to gradient: linear - angle 45°, repeats 3, invert checked
4 - New canvas 600 X 450 transparent, fill with the gradient
5 - Effects>VM Distortion>Radial Pox : 175-99-109-39 (default setting)


6 - Effects>Edge Effects>Enhance
7 - In foreground, pick the gold pattern "gold-ca" angle 0° scale 100
and in background pick your gradient set at angle 90°, repeats 0, invert checked


8 - Select the tool preset shape ellipse configured as follows :
create as vector/line style-solid (1st one at the top)/width 8 pixels




Trace a large ellipse. I had the ruler on and set the cursor at the top 150 mark and dragged it down
and across till it hit the 450 mark on the ruler at the top and the cursor was at the bottom
9 - Objects>Align>Centre in canvas
right click in layer palette and convert to raster layer
10 Activate your face tube, control-C to copy
11 - Back to working canvas
Selections>select all; Selections>Float
Selections>Modify>Contract 8 pixels
Layers>New raster layer
Edit>Paste>Paste into selection
12 - Effects>Xero>Porcelain at default settings:
50-128-128-0-0-255


13 Layers>New raster layer
14 - Effects>3D Effects>Cutout>settings : 3/3/70/15/black



Deselect
15 - Select the layer with the face tube
16 - Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow, settings: 0/0/70/25/black




Lower layer opacity to 70%


17 Lock bottom layer (click eye), right click and merge visible
18 - Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow, settings: 0/0/70/8/black

Unlock the bottom layer
19 - Duplicate the merged layer/
Image>Resize to 60%, resize all layers not checked


Move the large oval to the left and overlap the small oval as shown, they should both be about in the centre.
20 - New raster layer
Color palette, lock foreground color and put your darker color in the background


Activate the preset shapes tool. Click on the down arrow to see all of the shapes.
Choose a shape to make the corner, set at anti-alias and create as vector checked, retain style not checked


I chose one called karin1. I don't know where it came from.


Drag a small square till you get the size corner you want
I was camping with no internet access so had to make do with what I had!
Image/Rotate>rotate it to the right orientation
21 - Effects/Simple/Top Left Mirror-this will put it in each corner
22 -Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow, settings: 1/1/60/1/black
23 - Activate your flower tube
Copy (control-C) and paste as new layer in working canvas (control-L)
In your layer palette, pull this layer under the other layers (just left click on layer, drag down, and let go)
Duplicate and spread out as shown


Put the blend mode of the flower layers at Luminance (Legacy)


24 - Image>Add borders: 2 pixels contrasting color


Select with magic wand, tolerance set at 0
Fill with your gold pattern
25 - Image>Add borders: 15 pixels contrasting color
Select with magic wand
Fill with your gradient: angle 45° repeats 6
26- Selections/Invert
27 - Effects>3D Effects /Cutout, settings : to 0/0/75/25/black



Deselect
28 - Repeat step 24 - 2 pixel border with gold fill
29 - Make sure all is as you want it. Right click in layer palette and merge all.
You're done.  If you reduce the size, make sure you use your unsharp mask at 1-64-4.
Watermark
Layers>New raster layer. Add your water mark on this new layer
Layers>Merge>Merge all (flatten)
Save
File>Export>Jpeg optimizer - compression of 20.
